Course Mapping Camp
Overview
Course Mapping Camp (Self-Paced) is designed as a flexible, asynchronous workshop for instructors and staff to design a pedagogically-sound course map. Participants will enter camp and be greeted by "camp counselors," dedicated instructional designers who present new content and milestones for each campsite. Participants will explore campsites with videos and resources from the camp counselors and "trail markers," no submission assignments to guide participants to completing each step of the course map. Campsites include topics on orientation, course goals, student learning objectives, modules, assessments, content, and more.
Modules in Course Mapping Camp include:
- Camp Orientation
- Plotting Course Goals
- Marking the Way with SLOs
- Grouping Modules
- Mapping Assessments

- A course idea (course goals and syllabus would be helpful but are not required)
- Approximately 10 hours to dedicate to course mapping
- Recommended to span out over 2-3 days so the course map items are fresh on your mind
- A quiet space
- Course Mapping Camp has options for a physical map or a digital map. The physical map option will require space to spread out in.
